The real richness of the world is not found in the ground, or the air, or water, but in the minds and hearts of the people who dwell among us--people who transform everything around them by their unique contributions. All too often the benchmark of success is the size of the purse or wallet. However, the means are emerging for ideas and expressions to find their place in the sun, no longer eclipsed by the enormous impact of the rich, the powerful, and the ruthless. There are those among us who are expressing and expanding the possibilities of peace, understanding, collaboration, and the development of human potential in a large variety of ways. Far greater than success, they have achieved SIGNIFICANCE and should be honored for their unique contributions. That is the mission and purpose of the Global Knowledge ACADEMY. To seek out and share with the world those whose efforts and sacrifices make a difference for all of us. Some everyone will know, some will be unknown to all but a few. Regardless, each one enriches all of us in the Global Knowledge Economy.
