The rapid advancement of information technology has transformed accounting practices by introducing automated accounting systems that improve the efficiency, reliability, and quality of financial reporting. Organizations across different industries have increasingly adopted accounting system automation to reduce manual intervention, minimize human errors, enhance internal controls, and accelerate financial reporting processes. This study examines the influence of accounting system automation on the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting outcomes by reviewing existing literature and theoretical perspectives related to accounting information systems. The paper highlights how automation facilitates real-time transaction processing, standardized reporting procedures, improved data integrity, and compliance with accounting standards. Furthermore, the study discusses the challenges associated with implementing automated accounting systems, including cybersecurity threats, implementation costs, employee resistance, and the need for continuous system upgrades. The findings suggest that organizations utilizing automated accounting systems generally experience higher reporting accuracy, faster financial statement preparation, improved decision-making capabilities, and greater stakeholder confidence. The study concludes that accounting system automation has become an essential strategic tool for enhancing financial reporting quality and organizational performance while supporting transparency, accountability, and regulatory compliance.
