Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are transforming cybersecurity operations by introducing intelligent mechanisms for threat detection, incident classification, security analytics, and automated response. Traditional Security Operations Centers (SOCs) face increasing challenges associated with sophisticated cyberattacks, excessive security alerts, limited human resources, delayed incident investigation, and the complexity of managing large volumes of security data. AI-driven security operations provide an advanced approach to addressing these challenges through predictive analytics, behavioral modeling, natural language processing, anomaly detection, and automated incident response. This research examines the integration of AI and ML into modern incident response centers, focusing on intelligent threat identification, real-time monitoring, automated investigation, decision support, and adaptive cybersecurity strategies. The study proposes a conceptual AI-driven SOC framework incorporating data collection, preprocessing, machine learning-based detection, risk prioritization, and human-supervised response mechanisms. An experimental evaluation framework is developed to examine the potential impact of AI-assisted security operations on detection accuracy, false-positive rates, investigation time, and response efficiency. The proposed evaluation uses illustrative experimental results to demonstrate how intelligent analytics can support operational improvements while maintaining human oversight. The research further investigates challenges involving adversarial attacks, data privacy, explainability, model drift, and automation risks. The findings emphasize that AI-driven incident response centers represent an evolving approach to cybersecurity in which intelligent automation and human expertise operate collaboratively to improve organizational resilience against emerging digital threats.
