Abstract

The rapid transformation of healthcare technology has created an increasing demand for intelligent, secure, scalable, and interoperable systems capable of managing complex medical information and supporting efficient clinical decision-making. Conventional healthcare infrastructures frequently operate through fragmented information systems, centralized data repositories, and manually intensive administrative processes, creating challenges related to data accessibility, privacy, scalability, and interoperability. The convergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), distributed computing, and blockchain provides an emerging technological framework for addressing these challenges. AI can support predictive analytics, disease-risk assessment, clinical decision support, and personalized healthcare, while NLP enables the extraction and interpretation of valuable information from unstructured clinical narratives, electronic health records, medical reports, and patient communications. Distributed computing provides the computational infrastructure required to process large-scale healthcare datasets and AI workloads across multiple nodes, while blockchain can provide tamper-resistant mechanisms for healthcare data exchange, consent management, identity verification, and auditability. This paper investigates an integrated architecture in which these technologies operate as complementary components rather than independent solutions. The proposed conceptual framework emphasizes secure data exchange, distributed AI processing, intelligent clinical information extraction, and blockchain-based trust management. The study also examines major implementation challenges, including interoperability, computational requirements, privacy protection, scalability, data quality, regulatory compliance, and integration with existing healthcare infrastructure.
