Abstract

The demand for agile, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure management has increased dramatically. In response, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) has emerged as a pivotal solution for automating and managing infrastructure provisioning. However, traditional IaC generation methods still require manual effort and expertise, which can be error-prone and time-consuming. This paper explores the integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the automated generation of Infrastructure-as-Code in cloud systems. By leveraging AI's capabilities in natural language processing and machine learning, it is possible to generate high-quality IaC templates, reducing the cognitive load on developers, improving the consistency and quality of infrastructure code, and accelerating cloud deployment cycles. This paper investigates the benefits, challenges, and future directions of incorporating Generative AI in IaC automation.
